Heart Care Australia has been committed to providing patients with comprehensive, high quality Cardiac care since 1993.
Our routine tests are Echo Doppler, ECG, Exercise Stress testing, Stress Echo, Holter Monitor and Blood Pressure Monitoring. Other more sophisticated tests and hospital procedures including Coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting, Cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmia ablation as well as Cardiac surgery can be arranged. We also have regular Pacemaker clinics.
The Practice uses the latest, state of the art equipment for diagnostic testing. We have a friendly team of Health care professionals including Cardiac Technicians to offer advice and assist with patient care. You will be greeted upon arrival to our practice by our compassionate and friendly administration staff who can also assist with patient queries as we recognise that your health is important and it can be a stressful time for our patients.
The average wait for an appointment is one week. Pensioners and registered unemployed patients are Bulk Billed. Your GP/family doctor can arrange an urgent appointment if required.
Our well appointed office is conveniently located in the prestigious City of Bankstown right opposite Bankstown Central Shopping Centre and we are wheelchair friendly with ramp access.

The team at Heart Care Australia is led by the founder, Dr Garry Helprin, Consultant Cardiologist who has over 25 years experience in Consultative Cardiology.
Dr Helprin is a University of NSW Medical Graduate who did his advanced training in Cardiology in Sydney, Canberra and Perth with overseas experience at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre, Los Angeles and Duke University Medical Centre, North Carolina.
As well as caring for patients in the practice at Bankstown, Dr Helprin works at two Public University Teaching Hospitals and two Private Hospitals and was Head of the Department of Medicine at Fairfield Hospital for 9 years. He’s a Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of NSW and also a Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Western Sydney.
